Hi all,
After a long time, I am back to blogging. I did not write for these days, not because I did not get any topic; it is because I did not feel like writing. This time, I am compelled to write this. You will understand this only if you happened to read beyond this.
I know you guys will be curious after seeing the title. So let me start right away.
It is amazing to see the first Indian winning Super Series Tournament. Anyways, how many of us (including myself) do have time to watch these games or even bothered to know even the results of these games. I am not going to complain about this because each of us has a right to watch/love any game.
On winning this tournament, Saina got 2 Lakhs (not in $) from our government. Not to mention that this money is hardly 10 percent of what each player received on winning T20 ’08. Anyway, it is waste to complain about the government, because we (as well as players) are used to this kind of treatment from the government.
If you want to know who I am going to complain, read further...
Usually, my morning Twit status will be either “Good Morning” or “Waiting for Newspaper”. I really love reading newspaper (The Hindu) in the morning because it is the best thing to do in a morning if you happened to wake up earlier than the usual. Today I came to know about the Saina’s victory, because I woke up early today. But I was not really happy after reading (read seeing) today’s newspaper.
In the front page, the newspaper carried Afridi’s photo which almost covered the entire page. The newspaper also had a passport size photo of Saina on the uppermost right corner. I believe she deserves much more than this (of course, she is beautiful too). Now that you read this, you can appreciate the title. Even then, I have to substantiate the reason of the title.
I was able to do this only after checking with “Times of India”. I will say TOI is really fair in this matter, not because they carried a photo of Saina which covered one fourth of the front-page; it is because they had a passport size photo of Pakistan team in the same page.
Every time I used to thank the person who happened to be the source of my blog. This time, I am confused whether to thank “Saina” or “The Hindu”. I am finishing my blog by thanking “TOI”.

Who is the Real Customer ?
Finally, I began to write my next post. A very big thanks to BRM Prof. This post is a bit different from my previous posts because I am writing this while sitting in the class. And the class is about ___. I don’t know anything about this subject, but still I am not able to even act like listening. Till now, I was reading newspaper in the class. Hey CEG guys “Don’t ask me why I am doing the same thing (which I did in almost all my U.G classes.) even in IIT.” The answer is “Nothing is perfect in this imperfect world. Even some IIT Profs’ classes are pathetic.” Actually the mood of the entire class was like as if they were in the railway station. Most of the students were reading newspapers; some people were sleeping with their eyes closed and some with open eyes (because of tired weekends). Anyway thanks to some of the people who were listening and some who were acting as if they were.......
Suddenly a raised voice saying “You cannot read newspapers in the class”. For the first time in the class all the heads (including mine) raised and the question in my mind was “Is the Prof. referring to me.” Thank god I was not the one. Sorry sir- This was that student’s reply. Even though the Prof. was teaching about the Ethical Issues in Business research he didn’t ask “Is it ethical to read newspaper in the class”.
The Prof. started saying “It’s not justified” and added “there are 5 marks for attendance and 5 marks for class participation”. Then one student asked “Sir, can active listening be a part of participation?”
Then after some 10 minutes of dozing off, his loud voice acted as an alarm for me, what he was saying at that time was “You guys have to respect and understand from the teachers’ perspective. It’s very difficult to shout (he himself used this word) for 2 hours”.
Now I thought of asking “That’s what you are being paid for”. Shouting/teaching for 2 hours is difficult, but listening for 2 hours (sometimes even for 8 hours) is much more difficult (sometimes painful) than shouting. By shouting he is getting at least money. What about us?? We are not getting anything other than good sleep (after all we are also paying for that).
One of the CEG Professors told that “You the students are the customers!!!”
Now the question is - Are the students the real customers??? If it is so – Are they treated as customers??
I can say that teachers are products, because some of the products (read teachers) are really having a very high demand.
But teachers can argue that they are doctors and listening is like a pill. Anyway as customers we are ready to take the pill as long as it is not a sleeping pill.
We do understand the teachers’ pain and respect them. That is why I stopped reading newspaper in his class and writing this piece.
The final question is – When will the teacher understand their customers or when will they realize that the students are their customers??? I stop here because the class is over.
Please do leave your comments...

Africa does not need i-pods
First of all, thanks to the readers of my first blog. When I finished my first blog I felt like as if I have written my first book. Then one of my friends told me that the serious challenge lies in “Writing your 2nd Blog”. I really accept that fact. I don’t have anything to write until today which happened to be ‘Valentine’s day’.
Disclaimer: I am not a part of “Sri Ram Sene”. Do not look out for any logic in this.
Here I am going to write about the discussion happened between two friends. Names are changed on request. We can have their names as ‘Shivam’ (S1) and ‘Sundaram’ (S2). This is nothing to do with ‘Satyam’ which happened to be the core idea of my first blog.
Here goes the discussion...
S1: Hey Sundaram, what’s your plan for Valentine’s Day?
S2: Nothing special for me. So No plan..
S1: What?? Don’t you have any girlfriend???
S2: No. I don’t have and I don’t need one..
S1: What do you mean? Don’t you need any girlfriends? How can you live without any girlfriends?
S2: The reason is simple. Africa does not need i-pods....
S1: ????? what is the connection between this and that ??
S2: Hey Shivam, if you see Africans, they are really happy and enjoying their life
by living in the lap of nature. So they don’t need any extra things such as i-pods for enjoyment... The same thing applies for a person who is already happy with his friends (Boys or Girls). So he doesn’t any extras such as girlfriend to enjoy his life.
S1: What the bloody logic is this??
S2: OK. If you cannot digest that, then take this argument. Africans are already suffering with their life. So why do they need another trouble such as i-pods. Likewise some people are already having so many troubles in their life and why do you ask them to have one more trouble which is girlfriend.
S1: How can you compare i-pods with girlfriends?
S2: Because by having either of those “you are wasting time as well as money”.
S1: ?!?!?!
------- The discussion is over and there is no facts/logic to support the case.
Once again, thank you all to waste your time in reading this. Initially, I was not going to post this as I thought this is not the right post. But with suggestion of my auditor I am publishing this. (Anyway, auditors will always urge one to go ahead whether it’s right or wrong)

Satyam Shivam Sundaram
Hi all I am also in the game of blogging.....Don’t ask me Y... JLT..
First of all, i would like to thank Mr. Kiruba, CEO of Business bloggers and Mr. Vikas Swarup, the author of Q&A . I am really thankful to them ....blah blah blah... they told something abt writin.. blogging.. etc.. at that point i thought “ If i were abt to blog i have hardly a sentence to write”.. Luckily, one gr8 man helped me in writin more than a sentence..
And i would like to thank that gr88 person..it’s none other than Mr. Ramalinga Raju . founder of Truth . SATYAM....?!?! u can ask“Y the heck he is thanking that F****** @ this point”.. wait u may get the answer..
u may.. not u’ll.. Now the story goes in this way...
I used to think about my college days ...those were the MOST Happy days in my life . Villanz- the real heroes... our gang.. and the tag line goes “Mess with the meeks not with the Mechs”.. we had enjoyment in all possible ways.. even in Xam halls. This is same for all in our college days.. In those days I used to “READ EVERYTHING” .... from my neighbour in the Xam hall in all Xamz. I was not only consistent in copying but also with the source( from where i copied).. the neighbour is 99% Iyampetta(Iyya)... Now comes Ramalinga Raju (RR).. wait wait.. there is no connection between RR and Iyya..
The connection goes this way. “Y i copied in Xam and Y RR cooked up his A/c books”..Wats the reason.. i felt there is some common reason... cud b wrong.. anyway leave it..
Most of us want to achieve something in our life.. even in daily life.. but there are some (like me) who want to achieve but not ready to work hard.. not at all willing to work. Most of us wanted to have gud..atleast reasonable CG in our college..am not an Xception.. for some the reason may be pride....recognition.. but for most of us(including me) the reason is security.
...Same goes for RR. He saw others (Infy,TCS) showin profit of 25%.. so he started copyin from them.. But he was an MBA.. he is a CAT (even though he never cracked CAT). Becoz nobody can hear the steps of a Cat.. like that he did some Copy+Paste such that nobody can find that.. but the story dint stop there....
For security reasons I copied in Xam not knowing wat’s my contribution in my CG.. finally i got some decent CG.. then placement season started ( B4 bubble burst).. companies came.. some of us got shortlisted just bcoz we didn’t have arrears.. First time in my life, i dint even understand the questions which were asked in my interview... i thought they will select me just bcoz i have decent CG. But they tested me on Engineering concepts which i have never known. i was gang r***** in my interview ... Then i realized the value of ….Real Truth ( Profit in case of RR and in my case it’s knowledge)... But i also believe that “Value can be created from nothing”..bcoz i got selected in that interview.
once again Thnx.. this time for all my frenz.. .
wat happened to shivam and sundaram.. well.. god knows.
